I can't believe the weekend is over all ready. You know, on the one hand, I like working on weekends because I feel like my week is less hectic and I get to be by myself in the office (Dana wasn't there this Saturday). On the other hand, sometimes I just want to get the work over with and have my weekend all to myself to eat at sketchy pandas, buy yarn I don't need, and shop with Bean.
I did my panda thing on Saturday before heading into the office. I really need to find some new spots. I do like the one in SLP, but it's not nearly as convenient as the Richfield one. I spent a couple hours in the office then just went home and chilled for a while. I watched a bunch a shows about how the world will end on History Channel and a few crime shows before heading to bed way too early for a Saturday night. But I'm no kid anymore so going to bed early on Saturday doesn't really bother me.
I had made plans to shop with Bean on Sunday after she came from her family gathering. Then D actually texted me to meet them for brunch. Lo and behold he cut his damn hair finally. And I got to see the lovely Selena in all her pregnant glory. Just 11 days (give or take) before the little guy arrives. Also present was the gorgeous Lavender, Miss Jackie, her friend Ted, Andy, Nicole, and baby Lila (whom I got to hold and she didn't cry and she smelled like sweet little baby and I could have just eaten her up), and Matty. I was quite happy to see all those guys since I just don't get to see anyone anymore. They shut out the single girl.
Later, Bean and I went on our shopping trip and I ran into Megan and Hultman and their cute little baby girl Azalea. Oddly, Bean also ran into a couple of people she hadn't seen in a while.
So this was the weekend of seeing people you haven't seen in a while. I like weekends like this one. I even got some laundry done. Although my spaghetti carbonara didn't turn out all that great. First time recipe, had potential, I'll make it again.
