My Bloody Valentine 3-D

I just checked out MBV 3-D at the Southdale cinema. $7.00!!! OUCH! Luckily, it was worth it. The movie isn't fabulous, but it is a lot of fun. Lots of gore and good kills. Some of the acting was pretty awful. I think Jamie King was cast because of her resemblance to Lindsay Lohan. I do have a tough time suspending my disbelief some times. I have a hard time trucking with people doing dumb stuff in horror movies now. Scream! Holler! Get Out of There! But that's all Scream's fault. Still, I jumped a couple of times and the 3-D effects were pretty affective. Plus the new glasses didn't give me a headache lack the old red/blue ones did.

Funny story: While waiting in line for tickets, two couples in front of me got into a conversation about what they were going to see. Couple 1 was planning to see that dumb-ass mall cop movie. Couple 2 said they were going to see MBV in 3-D. The male half of Couple 1 looked at his partner and said, all excitedly, "That's right! It's in 3-D!" They looked at each other for a couple seconds and the guy says in this 'come on, now' sort of way, "Mall Cop?" They then bought tickets for MBV. It was cute.
